The Staten Island Yankees, a Short Season Single A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have played in Richmond County Bank Ballpark since it opened in 2001. The “Baby Bombers” are one of the most popular Minor League Baseball teams in regards to game attendance. In 2011, the team averaged 5,663 fans per home game, which ranked 38th out of 350 Major League Baseball-affiliated and independent minor league baseball clubs. While fans enjoy watching promising players and the family-friendly promotions, Richmond County Bank Ballpark offers something no other baseball field in the country does – an incredible the outfield view of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline.
Staten Island Ferry

Having begun in 1817, the Staten Island Ferry is a free transport connecting Staten Island from the St. George Ferry to the Whitehall Terminal in southern Manhattan. Stretching 5.2 miles between terminals this ferry has a daily ridership of nearly 75,000 and runs twenty-four hours a day 365 days a year. Riders are given a scenic view of the southern Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Governor's Island to name a few.
